What Happens Initially?

Our team believe that the key to successful outcomes is good communication from start to finish. It’s not enough for us that you are delighted with what we create for you. We want to make the whole experience of working with our team a joyful one from when you first visit our website to when we wave goodbye upon completion of your garden room or nooke.

Step one

Upon contacting Fairehaven Gardens we will make an initial appointment to come and view the space you wish to use. Generally this first appointment takes between one to two hours depending on the size of the project and the elements you want to include.

For this we charge a flat consultation fee of $300.00, this covers our time on the day we visit as well as the plans prepared for your prospective project and follow up phone consultation. Our consultation fee must be paid one week before the scheduled property visit.

We welcome country clients, depending on your location we have a sliding fuel charge for on site consultations.

Once the plans are completed we will email them to you along with a time for a further phone consult to discuss your project’s start date and any changes you would like to make should you decide to proceed.

The plans are yours to keep regardless of whether you proceed with our services.

Where a client chooses to engage our company and proceed with the project a refund of $200 of the initial consultation fee will be applied to your final invoice.

Step Two

During the initial meeting we will discuss the various aspects that need to be taken into account such as the amount of sunlight the area gets, your capacity to water plants, type of soil, budget constraints, how you envisage using the space, and access to the area.

We will also look at the different elements you want to include in your bespoke garden room, artwork, water features, animal habitat, shading, sensory attributes, acoustics, plantings, lighting etc. Photo’s of the area are taken at the time.

Once your approval is given on both the scope of works to be carried out and the final quote, a date is set to commence work upon receipt of a down payment of sixty percent of the final quote.

This will need to be electronically deposited to our account one week before commencement.

Step Three

During the construction phase of the project we will require unfettered access to the space, we ask that clients ensure arrangements are made to facilitate this.

During construction we do our best to keep the area clean and free of debris and are very mindful of the occupational health and safety needs of both our team and also our client.

Our team endeavour to work as quickly as possible to finish a project, however we will not substitute speed for quality of workmanship.

Upon completion of your project full payment is required and a receipt will be issued upon bank verification of payment .

It is important to us and the work we do that you share any concerns you have either during the work or upon completion, as we want to ensure you are happy with the final outcome.
